COACHRA — Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Zachary Mabry ("we", "us") for using COACHRA. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, do not use COACHRA.

1. COACHRA is not medical advice

Read this part properly.

COACHRA generates training plans, prescribes running paces and lifting loads, and calculates calorie and macronutrient targets. All of it is produced by software from the information you give it and the training you record. None of it is medical advice, and none of it comes from a doctor, dietitian or qualified coach who has assessed you.

Talk to a doctor before starting or significantly changing how you train or eat, particularly if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are recovering from injury or illness, or are taking medication.
Do not use COACHRA to manage a diagnosed medical or eating disorder.
COACHRA does not know about your injuries, your medical history or your medication, and does not ask. Its numbers are estimates.
Stop and seek medical help if something hurts, or if you feel unwell. A plan on a screen is never a reason to continue.

COACHRA applies minimum-intake floors to calorie targets and will not prescribe below them. That is a safety guardrail, not a judgement that a target is right for you.

2. Exercise carries risk

Training is physically demanding and can cause injury. By using COACHRA you accept that risk and take responsibility for your own safety, including:

Judging whether a prescribed session is appropriate for you today
Lifting within your capability, with proper technique and safety equipment
Paying attention to traffic, terrain, weather and your surroundings when running — do not follow a route on a screen instead of watching where you are going
Carrying what you need to be safe, and telling someone where you are going

3. Your account

You must be at least 16 to use COACHRA. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done through your account. Give us accurate information — your height, weight and age drive every calculation COACHRA makes, and wrong numbers produce wrong targets.

4. What you may not do

Do not:

Break the law, or use COACHRA to harm, harass or impersonate anyone
Upload activity data you did not record, or falsify GPS data, to gain position on any leaderboard or in Territory
Attempt to access another user's data, or probe, scan or overload the service
Reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute COACHRA
Use automated means to extract data from the service

We may suspend or terminate an account that does any of this.

5. Your content

What you record and write in COACHRA stays yours. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service for you: to store your content, process it to produce your plans, targets and progress, and show it to the people you choose to show it to.

If you publish a run or claim territory, you are choosing to make that visible to other COACHRA users. Everything else stays private — see the Privacy Policy.

6. Subscriptions and pricing

COACHRA offers an optional Premium subscription. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy, and the free tier remains usable without one.

Subscriptions are sold through the App Store and are also governed by Apple's terms and refund policy. They renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings — cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Premium until the period you have already paid for runs out.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.

7. Territory

Territory is a game. Claims are decided by our own rules from the activity you record, and we may adjust, reverse or remove a claim we believe was obtained by falsified data. Territory standings carry no real-world value and confer no rights over any actual land.

8. Third-party services

COACHRA relies on third-party services, including map data, routing and the AI provider behind the Coach. We are not responsible for their content or availability, and map data may be inaccurate or out of date. Do not rely on a planned route being safe, legal or passable.

9. Availability

We provide COACHRA as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. COACHRA keeps your data on your device as well as on our servers, but you are responsible for anything you cannot afford to lose.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

COACHRA is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
We are not liable for injury, illness, or any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of COACHRA.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms. Sections 1, 2, 5, 10 and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of COACHRA will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you and we each consent to their jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection law of the place where you live.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and tell you in the app before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use COACHRA after that means you accept the new terms.
